Who controls the information

Sean Scott, the individual owner of RareManga.com, is the controller. Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to buy@raremanga.com.

Information handled

• Business contact information published by an organisation, such as a name, role, work address or official contact route.
• The organisation represented, the public source of the information and a relevant business-use hypothesis.
• Messages, replies, transaction preferences and records needed to progress a potential domain transfer.
• A minimal suppression record where someone objects or asks not to be contacted again.
• Standard technical logs created by the website host for security and reliable delivery.

RareManga.com has no enquiry form, behavioural advertising, mailing-list signup, tracking pixel or non-essential analytics cookie.

Sources

Information may come directly from the person concerned, an explicit referral, or a current official company page that publishes an appropriate corporate contact route. Address patterns are not guessed and contact lists are not purchased or scraped from restricted platforms.

Purposes and lawful bases

• To identify organisations for which RareManga.com has a specific strategic fit and, where permitted, make a limited one-to-one proposal. The basis is legitimate interests in finding a suitable buyer, balanced against the recipient's rights.
• To answer enquiries, qualify interest, negotiate terms and arrange a protected transaction. The bases are legitimate interests and steps requested before entering a contract.
• To honour objections, prevent repeat contact, protect the transaction and meet legal duties. The bases are legitimate interests and legal obligations where applicable.

Consent is used instead where a destination rule or recipient type requires it. There is no automated decision-making or profiling with legal or similarly significant effects.

Sharing and international processing

Information is not sold, rented or shared as a marketing list. It is used with service providers only where necessary: email hosting, website hosting and, after genuine buyer engagement, a selected domain-sale or escrow provider. Where a provider processes information outside the UK, its applicable legal and contractual transfer safeguards govern that processing.

Retention

• Unsuccessful research and outreach records are normally removed within 12 months of the last activity.
• A minimal suppression record is retained for as long as reasonably needed to ensure an objection is respected.
• Records connected with a transaction or legal claim may be retained for up to six years, or longer where the law requires it.

Information is removed sooner when it is no longer necessary.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer of your information. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. An objection to direct marketing is absolute: contact stops and only the minimum suppression information is kept.
